Day 1 Arrive Bangkok. Day 2 Full day excursion. Tour visits include: China Town, Chao Phraya river, colourful Buddhist temples, the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho and Herbs & Spices in Little India. Day 3 In Chiang Mai visit a local market, then into the kitchen for hands-on class and tasting of mouth watering Thai cuisine. Day 4 Chiang Mai. Tonight enjoy dinner with a local interior designer and discuss with him about architecture and learn about his passion for design. Day 5 Chiang Rai is the main gateway to fascinating hill tribe cultures and the forests and waterways of the infamous Golden triangle. Day 6 Chiang Rai. There is a change to trek or cycle through the beautiful mountain scenery. Courses in meditation and yoga are also popular in this serene and natural setting. Day 7 Depart Chiang Rai. After a visit to Northern Thailand, a popular choice is to head south to spend time relaxing on the pristine tropical beaches of Phuket, Krabi or Koh Lanta. Several daily flights are available to Bangkok, then onto many destinations in Southern Thailand. You can wake up in the mountains and be stretched out on a beach that same afternoon.
